Thank you all for understanding. Splash and I had a good cuddle session on the couch tonight, for the first time. She just crawled right up there with me and put her sweet head on my shoulder. Oh my goodness. I just hugged her and cried. I know she will be fine. I have talked with her new mom on the phone, and she is so excited about having her..........it is just hard. I keep asking myself if I will do this again, and the answer is actually "yes", I will, hard as it is. It is a worthwhile thing to help acclimate these babies to a real, loving home, and prepare them for life with loving people. Keep reminding me of this on Thursday when I take her to start her journey.

I'm sure Splash came to love her foster family very much. But what a wonderful thing that another family has opened up their hearts to this beautiful girl! I'm sure you'll miss her a lot. But hopefully you'll hear lots of happy updates over the coming months! God's speed, sweet, sweet Splash!!!

You don't know how much better that makes me feel! She romps with her new sister, Amy, a border collie mix, and Bonnie said it makes her tired to watch how hard they play.
They are doing much better together. Abby treats Buddy like he is a pillow or a stool - told her to "sit" and she sat right down on Buddy's head! She also tried to stand on him while he was laying down so she could see better!
