Not strange at all. As a matter of fact, my car has a "safety feature" in that all I have to do is pull up on the door handle (even before I unlock the car) and the interior light goes on. So you see, even the car manufacturing companies have realized the need for this feature (at least that is how it was explained to me). But, generally speaking I do not go to the store alone at night.

I guess its part of living in a place where almost everything is open 24 hours.


. I've done that before simply because I find it more relaxing, no crowds and struggling to get around, no long lines and almost getting hit by people zooming through the parking lot. I imagine it partly depends on where you are at though. A big city probably wouldn't be as calm in the evening, and I've never lived in a particularly crime-ridden area.
