Thread: My dog is sick

It sounds like your dog has already beeen treated by a vet - not sure what for tho... What kind of surgery are you and your dad talking about? Usually a biopsy will be done on lumps that could be suspicious b/4 considering surgery.
If you feel she is sick and needs vet care you father could call your vet and see what he suggests. Not eating is not good. Please call or take her to a vet. I hope your dog gets to feeling better soon.

    Hi Kitty.

I understand your worry about your baby going to the vet. I also hate it when mine have to go. I also really hate going to the doctor myself!! But it is the best thing you can do. Be brave and be there for your dog. If the visit is prolonged, it may become too late to help her get better.

I would also talk to your parents about getting her spayed. Dogs are healthier if they are spayed and neutered. Its another surgery she'd have to go through but would be best in the long run.

Good luck! Your pup is in my prayers.

I'm so glad she's going to the vet. Let her know she's only going so she'll feel better, tell her not to be afraid.

I am glad that your dad finally gave in. I don't understand why some people don't think that pets deserve proper medical treatment right away. A pet is a responsibility. It's good that your care so much and tried your best to take care of your dog. Please let us know how everything goes.

I'm glad she's going to the vet. My vet's office knows us very well there. I've been there so much with Killian that everyone knows us! When I bring Shiloh in, they say that they forgot I have another dog! Anyway, what I am saying is that my dogs go to the vet a lot more than I go to the doctor! I think nothing of calling the vet and taking them in for anything out of the ordinary. I hope the vet can help your poor pup feel better soon.

Call the vet, explain the situation, and see if they will allow you to make payments or work it off somehow. Your pup needs medical attention, and needs it now.

Wow, this thread is very upsetting. You have GOT to do everything you can to convince your dad to take your dog to the vet! PLEASE! or try calling the vet yourself and explaining the situation. Your dog is suffering! I don't understand why your dad won't do this...it doesn't make any sense!

Kittypuff, just because you can't see the problem doesn't mean there isn't one. If you don't know what lymphosarcoma is, it's a cancer. You can't see it, but it makes you feel like you have a really bad cold. But what it really does is kill you from the inside. This is what may be happening to your dog.

You know those cysts, bumps you found on her, well those are just signs of what she may have going on inside her.

Please take her to the vet. Don't let her get any sicker than she is.

Why don't you print these pages out and show your dad how bad it could be. Maybe he will change his mind.

She went to the vet today she could have valley fever or tick fever (unlikely she's only had one tick in her whole life)
