Take a squizzy at this thing.

This is a coconut crab from Vanuatu.
Evidently, some kids who sometimes go out to play in the coconut groves have had their foot nipped off.
    Horrible looking things......... eh ???
Just do me a favour would you ??? Just check around your feet, and if you feel a movement....it could be one of those.

I was thinking the same thing. Are they edible????
Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, champagne in one hand and strawberries in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and screaming WOO HOO - What a Ride!

Please, if your dog is arthritic look into getting it Elk Velvet Antler. Look up my posts on it, PM me, or look it up on a search engine; but please if you love your dog and want it to live many more years consider this option. I've seen so many posts on here about dogs needlessly suffering. I can't make a new post about EVA every time so this plea is going here. EVA also helps with other ailments such as anemia.

Woah! That thing would give you one heck of a fright if you went to put the rubbish out one morning and there it was on the bin!

Nature is amazing though, to be able to create creatures like that.

That's insane! No, no, nope, no way .... I would so not want to see one of those! And I normally think crabs are cute.

I've seen one of them in a smaller version on the Travel Channel, featuring Vanuatu. Nature is amazing......he has the right tools to crack open a coconut, doesn't he?!!

In Vanuatu even the starfish looks quite pre-historic!!!!!
