    Thanks everyone! I am pretty sure it will be either Dakotah, which my mom loves. Or Lakota which I love, it means brave. Now if my mom calls him Dakotah and I call him Lakota will he get confused?

    I don't think he'll get real confused. Both names sound VERY much the same. Dogs listen to key sounds not so much the letters used in the name. Sometimes we call Beanie by his other name "Meanie" He responds to both.
