Scary! As a mom of a 5 1/2 year old and a 10 month old, I can completely sympathize with you!! These little ones sure can worry us Mommies!! Good thing you were there right away to notice it right away.
I suppose it is possible that since he is allergic to this, he could be more prone to have othe food allergies? I guess you'll have to keep a close eye on new foods introduced to him incase there are more allergies, but lets hope notGlad he is feeling good and back to normal now
