    Great answer delidog!!!!!!
After we have kids, I hope to be able to rescue senior and/or special needs greyhounds or other breeds. But for now, planing to have young kids in the house within a couple of years, we thought we'd stick with the young and healthy dogs.
Someday, delidog, I hope to be able to answer like you did!

Staci - that's very cool - I only know of a small handful of families in the Toledo area with Wolfhounds currently. One dog just had puppies, and I saw the ad in the paper: two puppies, each $1100!!!! I drooled over the thought, but of course did not jump at the chance!
How original am I, wanting to name an Irish Wolfhound an Irish name?
    Is Murphy still living?

Probably another German Shepherd. If there was one that I really liked at a rescue than from a rescue. But there's a breeder that I know and she has really good shepherds.

It would Probably be a 8 week old female named Cassie. I'm not sure about the name, but something like that.

If I was going to get a puppy I would get one from a responsible breeder. If I wanted an adult I would adopt a male 8 months to 3 years old. I like all the shepherd dogs like GSD, Shiloh shepherds, the belgian breeds... and I like Huskys, malamutes, wolfdogs.... Working dogs are my favorite. I'd get a male dog and two names off the top of my head that I like are Odin and Buck.

ilovehounds, we have US friends who own & love Aussie Shepherds. If it's OK with you &
the owner of this sweet Aussie, I'll send the details on to them. Our friends live in Florida but they have family, who also own Aussies, in the north.

I would get a pug, and I don't really care if it's a boy or a girl. If it's a boy he would probably be called Ripley unless something else came to mind, because that's what my hubby was going to name Bella if she was a boy. Don't have a girl name.... I would love to rescue a pug and often visit pug rescue sites but, sorry to say, they are all mostly seniors. I would like a younger dog to grow old with Bella.

I would get a Senior Schnauzer from the Schnauzer rescue, don't care boy or girl, it would probably already have a name. Would have one now, if Perry would get along with other dogs.

I would rescue another German Shepherd Dog from a GSD rescue or the shelter.

It would be at least 1 yr. old or older.

It will probably be a male.

I would either keep his shelter name or name him Geist.

I would get any dog but not a really fluffy dog or a Labrador (in my opinion to many people have them!) So maybe another American Cocker Spaniel, maybe a male the same age or older then my own lovable, girl Jesse. The only dog she really gets along with is my dad's friend Tim's male American Cocker Spaniel named Joey, he is one year, or so, older then Jesse. She even shares her tennis balls with Joey, until he leaves then she takes them all back under her table in the living room.

Ya sure please pass it on to whom ever you wish.

I have more info on her. I asked her Where in Ohio is she, does she like cats and are they sure she is blue merle

I don't know about Cats can test her.
She is in the Cleveland Area...in Ohio second yes she is a Blue Merle
she is AKC registered as a Blue Merle. I know this dog and her history...
everything except about Cats...I know she has been around them....but
they are outside cats..so don't know how she would react to Cats in the
house. The owner of this dog owns a boarding kennel. She breed
Aussies...Candi never came in heat...she kept her anyway...now she
no longer is breeding thank God....she is a responsible breeder but we
don't need any more dogs....That's why Candi has had her hips X-Rayed
and eyes tested...Candi has had the best of care ....was never neglected,
always kept current on shots...and on heart worm...she is trained...the
reason she can no longer keep her is because...she is taking care of
the boarding kennel...her mother is moving in with her and she is very ill.
She is a single mom trying to make a living for herself, mom and son.
Simply she can't afford to take care of her the way she wants her to be....

Thanks for the additional info about the Aussie who needs a new home. I sent on her details to our friends in Florida & they've just emailed me that they have forwarded it to their daughter & husband who are members of the Australian Shepherd Club. Here's hoping that the lovely dog finds a wonderful forever home.
