I was just thinking about it since i saw the other thread of Wolf_q's thread that the little girl everyone is thinking of Keva and then your guy everyone is thinking of Kovu. I think that is really crazy, both same gotcha day too. Had to look at the pictures again they're adorable he's so adorable too!

Phred, I don't see how starting a new thread with pictures is a problem? If somebody gets a new dog are they supposed to only post pics of them in the introduction thread forever?

Those bath pictures are just precious! He really is adorable, and he looks so "at home" with Ki, the pool, etc. Whatever name you choose will be terrific.

My heart skipped a zillion beats when I saw these pictures! Sleeping in the sink just about knocked me off my seat!I definitely see Rottie but the fuzzy ears are throwing me, so I'm saying GR..maybe some shepherd. All I know is that he is just about the cutest little guy I've ever seen, so whatever he is, it's perfect!

I'm proud of your muttlies too! Can't wait for the FINAL decision but I'd be very surprised if it isn't yes!

Thank you everyone for the positive replies without any nitpicking. We are very happy about the puppy and he is something I've wanted for a while now. He is an absolute joy and has made me do a lot of smiling the past few days.

A few names I really like...
Mufasa, of course. It has always been "my" name for my next male dog, to carry on TLK theme in honor of Simba. I have already started calling him Moo for short.

Kovu - I love "K" names and it would fit nicely with Kiara. Koko for a nickname.
I also really like Pumbaa but I think it's too close to Simba. His chubby belly did remind me of that, though.

I also really like Frank Sinatra so I thought of naming him that as his full name and calling him Frankie or Frank for short. But then I thought of Beenie and Frankie and I wouldn't want to take their names.

Scar from TLK is another name I thought of. Short and manly.

Nuka is another TLK name and can be male or female. It means younger siblings in Greenlandic so it really works.

Congratulations, Kay!! This is the only time I don't want a dog to be claimed. You must be so excited. Whatever you name him, he's such a cute boy! I love his ears. I like "Kovu" as a name.

As far as a name, Mufasa might wear on your dad. I agree I think he was hesitant naming the dog knowing more so that would mean he was staying. Maybe you could point out you have to call him something as far as training. I like many of the names mentioned, but it really doesnt matter. They have a tendancy to name themselves. Hotties name was originally " Infared".. .. And Femka became Precious.
He sure is adorable. I can see why the consideration to keep him...!

Wow, he really looks like Ki, just fuzzier. By the pics I think she likes the idea of a little (twin) brother. Well if he doesn't get claimed, poor guy, the idea of him being lost/abandoned is horrible and you keep him I look forward to meeting the little guy.
