    Chip and Dale 11-30-06

You are very lucky to be getting these pictures. These little ones no longer remember how to hold still! And are they ever fast!

Assuming they are between 6 and 7 weeks old right now. One week from today they get their vet check up. I think their eyes are changing color from the baby blue. Dale finally ate some of his canned food while I watched. (I suspect he has been eating for days, but wouldn't show me )

I moved them to the larger cage with the elevated platforms so they have more room.

I can't put the shelves to high yet, but they have the equivilence of 2 stories using one of the "shelves" as a ramp. (they have been using the ramp on the tree houses lately).

Here is Chip wondering why Lotus is in his cage eating his food???

And here are my sweet hearts.

    More photos, next post.......

    Chip

    and Dale

My boys are growing so fast. They use the scratching post, they climb the cat trees, they use the big-cat's litter boxes.

You know, these guys have been on Petfinder.com since they were 3 weeks old and I have only had 2 inquiries on them and neither one ever responded back after I wrote to them. Very strange, as kittens are not plentiful this time of year. Oh well, I don't care.

    Hope you enjoyed.

Oh, oh, oh be still my heart. Look at those sweet adorable widdle tabbies.
You've done such a wonderful job on your first bottled babies. Look how healthy they both look. CONGRATULATIONS!!!!! On a job well done. Now tell me, honestly, would you do it all over again?

I know what you mean about trying to get good pictures. That's why I get PeaPod when he is in sleep mode. LOL!!!

I love that cage Jen. They must have fun in there.

I know that I could not do babies any younger than Chip and Dale were. I started by feeding them every 3 hours but soon stretched it to every 4 hours. I would not have been able to do newborns (at every 2 hours for 2 weeks straight) My body would simply give out.

They are so precious, Jen! To let you in on another little secret ... they know how to climb that cage already, they are sneaking behind your back! I have that same one, and you'd be surprised at how young they can scale those barred walls!

You are correct, Kim, they can climb the bars, but as a worried mama I don't want to think they might fall from a high (and slippery, plastic) perch.....know what I mean?
