Do you own a pet that can't be found in a Pet Store?

Various ones in the past, but right now only a few... I have a few kinds of snakes that I have never seen (and would be very surprised to see) in a pet store.

That said, you'd be surprised what poor animals you can find in pet stores! Some of my more unusual 'finds' have been opossums and pigs.

You probably won't see a Jungle Carpet Python in a pet store, it's possible, but not likely.

I also have a Prairie Dog which you won't find in a pet store as they are no longer leagel to sell.

In the past I've had a squirrel, hedgehog (they do have them in pet stores occasionally) pigeon (they don't have them at our pet stores!)

All I can think of right now, but we've had so many animals in the past so there could be more

In Canada you cannot find Common Snapping Turtles! If you do, call the SPCA ASAP!!! They are illegal to sell!!!! & in many cases illegal to own. I'm legal so no worries there. Already had the SPCA up my butt for 2 months, until they found the correct laws that state I didn't break any laws in owning Axle :P

I think everything I own can be found in a petstore, although trying to find a mix that is the same a Rose would be a challenge!

Although, Ferrets aren't too common and are still illegal to own in some states.

i have a long-necked turtle.u cant buy reptiles at pet shops here.u have to get them from a licensed breeder.

Nope, any of my reptiles could be found in a specialty reptile store (Beardies are a bit more common of course) and some pet stores unfortunately still sell dogs.

I have serious doubts that a boa could be found in a pet store as scarred and mangled as Vlad is though.

Hedgies are not found in pet stores very often anymore! I have only seen two in the past 10 years.

Nope. You can find Dogs and Gerbils in any pet store. But i hate it that they sell dogs in pet stores. UGH!
