It's not like the prong collar is a bad thing, used correctly. Owners of many breeds of dogs use prong collars.

I know what it is, but never had to use one. And you are right- if used propertly but most dont and injuries result.
They use to use those for appearance more than anything. Most consider this the "force trainer" for instant results verses time over time training.

It's a cute video for sure. But some of the other videos posted on the same site are far from cute and do nothing to help public perception of the good pitts.

Particularly the one with the black and white pit attacking the child and the other one with the man and his dog on the stretcher with the shot of the pitt's muzzle dripping the blood of his victims. Nothing to laugh about there!


None of the videos are a true picture of all pitts anymore than the same videos with other breeds would be a true picture of all representatives of those breeds.

Any good (or bad) dog is a product of genetics, socialization, training, environment and circumstances!

i know what video you are talking about..and that dog was NOT attacking them! The dogs obviously wernt being agressive they were PLAYING...They were overly excited, and playing way to rough...dogs play with their mouths, they do not have hands like you and I..now i am NOT saying that that is acceptable..but to say they were ATTACKING them? I think not, try watching it again..

Then why was the police officer pointing his gun at the dog while trying to get it off the child? Why was the dog's owner crying? That's much more than PLAY in any breed. BTW the kid was just walking by with a friend, he was never playing with the dogs.
