Very nice job. Our kitties aren't diggers but they are climbers. Are yours? Halo and Pepper have climbed the chain fence on a couple of occasions. Luckily, we were there to rescue them before they went over the top.
Ask your vet about microchipping. ~ It could have saved Kuhio's life.

Mine climb too. That's why I used chicken wire, they can't fit their paws in the holes. There is a top on it just in case. They don't go outside though, so I don't know if they dig

Had them out for a couple hours today. They just do not want to come back in! Butter will come when he's called (suprisingly enough) but Kiba just doesn't want to come in. I think she has trouble climbing in the window, so I'll have to fix that a little...Overall, they love it! They get to munch on some grass to...I guess that's good for them?

My kitties are jealous! *meowme why won't you do that for US!* Spook especially loves to go outside...this is a rather great idea! About how much did the materials cost?

Lookin good and the kitties sure do make it look even better still

Oh boy, are YOU in trouble now! Once your kitties learn they love this - and by the looks of the photos, THAT didn't take long at all - they are always going to want that cat door opened. You live in Canada? They will want to go investigate your first snow! And they will decide THAT is kind of fun too!

When I lived in an apartment, 3rd floor, I had a glass sliding door to the balcony. I put in one of those panels with the cat door in the bottom, so the cats could go out on the balcony. They just HAD to go out there, rain, snow, sleet AND shine, to sniff and smell and explore. I hung a rope of bells from the slider door handle. Amber (Mr. Amber Cat) would slam those bells until I opened the door. And yes, there was always one who didn't want to go out, just want the door open so he COULD go out, if he decided to later on.

In winter, Sparkle did the "snow plow," keeping her front paws extended and pushing with her back legs. She wasn't happy until all the snow was off HER balcony. Vita does NOT like wet feet, so she would tippy toe all around trying to find a dry spot on the balcony. And the leg shakes are hilarious, too. They love to try and catch snow flakes as they come down.

Now I have a home and a fenced back yard. Sparkle STILL does the snow plow!

So you best stock up on film and, if you don't already have one, get a video for the snow antics that are to come! You are going to enjoy this just as much as they are!
