There have been times when I have had only cats (when I was younger, coming & going more). But now I have a house with a yard, etc., and can't imagine not having both!
Ideally I would love to have some property, and have several cats, a few dogs, some ducks, a goat, and for sure some pigs. (I love pigs myself!)

Like Aly said, cats & dogs each give you something different. They DO however, BOTH give you love in their own way. I think cats can be just as loving, but do it completely different than dogs. A person who has never really been around cats, does not know (of course not until they someday allow themselves to be 'owned' by a cat(s))

Cats are soooo interesting to observe and try to figure out- especially if you have more than one. They act like a couple of people That is ONE thing I like better about cats.
