Casper is a fine kitty, and very sweet to go sock-hunting for you. When a kitty comes running in the house and drops a bug or lizard on your lap, it's a lot harder to play the rest of the game; rubbing, petting, and saying "Thank you, mighty hunter". Animals respect each other's ability to catch game, and since you are the one who always puts the food out, you are the king of the house. Caspar is making noise so you will see and appreciate his hunting ability and contribution. Make a huge fuss over him, and be glad it's not a worm, (or worse).
