    Russian Blue,

STEP AWAY FROM THE COMPUTER!!!. Petfinder is addicting. I go on every once in a while to see what's up. It's SO tempting to want to adopt every single cat you see.

Rest In Peace Casey (Bubba Dude) Your paw print will remain on my heart forever. 12/02
Mollie Rose, you were there for me through good times and in bad, from the beginning.Your passing will leave a hole in my heart. We will be together "One Fine Day". 1994-2009
MooShoo, you left me too soon.I wasn't ready.Know that you were my soulmate and have left me broken hearted.I loved you like no other. 1999 - 2010See you again "ONE FINE DAY"
Maya Linn, my heart is broken. The day your beautiful blue eyes went blind was the worst day of my life.I only wish I could've done something.I'll miss your "premium" purr and our little "conversations". 1997-2013 See you again "ONE FINE DAY"

Well, Rob made me go to the adoption today since he knew I would be miserable if I didn't get to see 'Daisy'. As soon as I saw her I knew I wanted her. At one point Rob was holding her and she was licking my fingers. To me she already looked like a 'large' kitten and will easily outweigh Nakita in no time. I'm so used to a 5 pound cat being average. I will be picking her up next weekend from her foster home. I'm still undecided if I'll keep the name 'Daisy'.

In the same cage, there was a very beautiful male kitten named Simba. He looked like a peach coloured lion with big paws. All he wanted was headbutts and scritches. I can only imagine how magnificent he will look as an adult. His sister, Nala, was just adopted before I arrived. I could have easily left with 5 cats, but Rob held me back.

The rescue had 23 kittens for adoption today - all rescued from ONE high kill shelter in Hamilton. Can you imagine how many are put to sleep during a typical week/year because of the irresponsible act of not spaying/neutering your pet.

I'll place an intro thread on 'Daisy' when I bring her home next weekend. Hopefully Nakita won't be too stressed by the new addition and this will actually help her in the long run. Keep your fingers crossed for me folks!

I actually forgot my camera today to take some pictures. I have my camera with me all the time but was too excited this morning and only had one thing on my mind.

Good for you rescuing that precious one! I'm sure Nakita will hiss and swat for a bit, but with time I bet they become best of friends. Then you'll wonder why you didn't do this sooner!
Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR) is a full management plan in which stray and feral cats already living outdoors in cities, towns, and rural areas are humanely trapped, then evaluated, vaccinated, and sterilized by veterinarians. Kittens and tame cats are adopted into good homes. Healthy adult cats too wild to be adopted are returned to their familiar habitat under the lifelong care of volunteers

Oh- these are wonderful news. You will hvae two kitties as different as mine and both beautiful

I am not sure whether she should not have a more elegant name than Daisy- she will have to learn that Nakita is the princess- but she is a precious little lady too

    Congratulations

CONGRATULATIONS on adopting your new little girl.

I pray that the introduction will go well with Nakita.

I read this thread while I was visiting K & L and I was hoping that you'd decide to adopt this adorable kitten.

CONGRATS ON YOUR NEW ADDITION!!! Kittens are so much fin to watch. I'm having a great time watching my newest addition Ziggy. I can't wait to see new pictures of her and I hope that the introductions go well.

Please tell me to stay away from Petfinder

What a little doll!!! From what you said in your post, Daisy sounds absolutely wonderful. They don't come much cuter than that. Looking forward to seeing more pictures and hearing about all those little kitten antics you now have to look forward to. Concatulations on your new furry little bundle of joy!

Daisy obviously was waiting for you to find her! What was meant to be, will be. I think Daisy is a wonderful name, only because we had a Daisy who was a real sweetheart.

Just think of her as your bright new flower girl!
