Oh dear...and he won't eat any of the low protein soft food? Or the dry?
Maybe the vet can give you samples of something different to try.
Poor Cosmo - he loves you, he knows who to meow at and who his meowmie is!
HUGS and prayers to both of you!

He won't eat anything. He drinks water and that's it. I wish it was tomorrow morning so I can call the vet & make an appointment. I hope my boss understands when I tell her I have to leave or come in late to bring Cosmo to the vets. Normally, she would but I'm on vacation for 2 weeks starting next week and have a ton of things to do before I leave. I'm thinking I will cancel vacation plans to be with Cosmo. I just wish it was Tuesday morning all ready! I think I'll go to bed so Tuesday will arrive very fast.
Please send good thoughts Cosmo's way. I'm not ready to lose him just yet.![]()

I love Fenway, JoJo, Olivia and Nonnie!
Cosmo has an appointment at 2:10pm today. A co-worker suggested diabetes. She said to ask the vet about that to rule it out.
I'm just hoping that no matter what it is, the vet can treat it. I know kidney disease is a fatal condition, but I don't think Cosmo is ready to go and still has some fight left in him. If you met him for the 1st time, you would never know he was sick.
When I spoke to the receptionist, she acted like I wanted to put him to sleep. I was kind of mad when I got off the phone with her. I won't know until we go to the appointment and discuss what the next option is.
I've researched the internet and wrote some stuff down to ask the vet. Included is an appetite suppresant and fluid therapy.

Did he get some fluids in the mean time? I am sure he needs them. Plus they put some steroids in which will stimulate his appetite. He needs that- and that will make him feel instantly better. If he's so skinny- it's not diabetes I suppose, it is the kidney condition.
Good luck for Cosmo.
