    Pam....if I could just take the jacaranda with me ..... it has been too hot for the E's...they too are northerners and prefer the cool of the house! I can't seem to get them in the pool with me.

    I don't think the blooms give off scent. There is scent around the area but I also have jasmine and allysium (I'm not spelling that right.... ) so I am not sure where it originates....

    Just thinking- if jacarandas grew in more northern areas then the colour wouldn't be called lavender but jacaranda

    Okay...I tried some "up close and personal" for those who are not familiar with Jacarandas.....




    I think the jacaranda too "mauvey" to be lavendar.....
