Poor Novey - her ear is terrible

Nova has had an ear infection for a few days. It has really gotten bad. A minute ago she was scratching at it and then cryed. She made herself bleed really bad. I am in the midst of filling out paperwork to start homeopathic treatment but this can't wait another day or two until that vet can see us, so I'm taking her to our regular vet.

She is in a lot of discomfort and it looks really painful.

Wish us luck at the vet today.

Poor baby girl. You're doing the right thing by taking her into the vet. I think a lot of them are closed on the 4th of July. Hope it goes well. Will keep dear Nova in my thoughts. **HUGS**

I was worried they might be closed. If they are open, then it won't be for another hour and 15 minutes. Hope they're open today, I don't want her to have to wait until tomorrow.

I should've done this days ago!

I called the vet office and they were closed, so, I decided to try the probiotic powder that I got at the drugstore the other day. Look at the difference She is already a lot more comfortable!

    Ear problems

I had tried everything with the problems ears of our dog and found that a product called Zymox worked the best. It comes in a form with or without hydrocortisone if that bothers you. It can be used it preventively also. I bought it over the internet two years ago and haven't used anything else since.

    Product Description
Zymox combines 3 potent enzymes derived naturally from milk products. Each enzyme is unique and in combination provides a powerful anti-microbial defense system. The otic solution is highly effective against bacterial, fungal and yeast infections including staphyloccus, pseudomonas, proteus and malassezia. Zymox acts as a cleaner and medication with one daily dose. Do not use any other preparations during treatment.

    Good luck.
