Aw, congrats on such an adorable girl! Those pups are ginormous! =0) Tessa is really cute, I can't wait to see what she grows up to look like.

Are you sure the Mom just had an allergic reaction to puppy food?! I've never seen a dog lose so much fur. It looks like mange or mites to me....

Well, Maddy and her parents told me she was extremely allergic to the brand of puppy food they were feeding her puppies. And she kept eating it so she had an extreme allergic reaction and started loosing fur, I also thought it was something that didn't have to do with allergies at all, and they just didn't know. Before she had the puppies I saw her and she looked absoulutly fine, a beautiful dog, but when she had the puppies all her fur was gone I was wondering why they didn't just change the brand of the food? Maybe it would cause a tummy-ache because of the change? I honestly don't know.

Apparently Sarah's mom said the thinks the puppies are filthy and ugly! UGH! When I heard that with Sarah we were so pissed off it wasn't even funny.

The puppies have not had any shots yet, is that bad? They are 10 weeks old. I was thinking they needed a heartworm shot, for heartworms could ruin their lives, and rabies, too. When should puppies get their first shots? I thought they got their first shots at 6 or 8 weeks, correct? These puppies are nearly 12 weeks, and they haven't got any shots, not any. The people are very nice to the puppies, and they treat them like the little baby kids they are, but the puppies sleep outside and in the garage, with only a couple of blankets, and the mom relieves herself in there. Of course they clean out the garage, but what about the puppies health living outdoors? Fleas, ticks, and everything inbetween are out there, pretators of dogs, etc., etc., etc.. It makes me want to take them all away. I can't say I blame them for not having the puppies running around the house, but still, can't they put them in a warm room with a gate to block them from going to other rooms, or something?

Besides living outdoors and not having shots, they're pretty much healthy. Not starving or overly thirst, anyway. Who knows what's crawling or wiggling around inside them, though? They need those shots. What should I tell them about getting the puppies shots? And how should I tell them?

I don't want Sarah to get Tessa if she hasn't got any shots and is unhealthy inside, but at the same time I do want her to, to save them. Who wants to pay $100 for an unhealthy puppy in the inside, anways? I sure wouldn't, no matter how cute they are. But Tessa means so much to Sarah, and they've got such a special bond.

I don't know what to do. Help?

And if anyone could PM Sarah some tips on caring for a puppy, because Tessa will be her first one, that would be great.

Sorry for writing so much, just wanted to discuss this.
