thanx so much for all of your prayers and thoughts! we all went to the funeral on sunday evening, and it was so wierd because there were seven dogs there and not one of them fought or even barked at each other. it was so quiet and sullen. she was already buried, we just went there and planted flowers and a small tree, and said a few prayers. Lindsay and i went for a walk today, and it was strange to not have abby following along. she always did. i just cant believe this happened. especially on mothers day! i mean, its Nikkis daughter! last mothers day abby brought nikki a bone all by herself. she just came down to our house with a bone in her mouth and gave it to nikki. we never figured out how she knew it was mothers day. why did she run out in that road? we'll never know! poor poor abby! thanx everybody, i'll keep ya updated.

I'm so sorry, that must be so horrible. I would just die if that happened to my dog. It kind of did in a way a long time ago. We had got an airedale terrier and named her Mea, and when she was 2 she ran out on the road and a truck was coming and she was hit by it and rolled all the way under it. When we got to her after the truck passed (he did stop though) she was almost dead, she had broken a couple of vertabras in her back in we had to put her to sleep. We got another one and in memory of our dead one named her Mea too.
