Yesterday, my mom talked to my uncle on the phone. I told her to ask if they had taken the kitty with the hurt leg to the vet yet, and my uncle said that they had called a vet. The vet had said that they didn't have to come in with the cat and that it would heal on it's own. My mom didn't press the issue but when they hanged up I was very mad because to me it sounded like he was straight out LYING about having called the vet (I mean, to me it looked as if the cat had a broken leg and I doubt a vet would ever say something like that without even having looked at the cat). My dad agreed with me and called my uncle back up and asked him again... This time my uncle changed his story a little and said that he himself had looked at the cat and seen that there were bitemarks on his legs, which meant that it wasn't a broken leg. He also said that they would try to get antibiotics for it and that the cat was using the leg a little now.

I really don't know what to belive. But one thing is for sure. The next time I go there I will have a look at the cat's leg. If it is still bad, or if there is no bitemarks anywhere, I will call a humane society and report them. My mom would hate me for it, but I can't let this keep going. So thanks for the link Spencer, it helped.
