Brodie looks terrific like nothin happened to him.
Did the vet think after all it was the litter and changing to regular Fresh Step and not the crystals would do just fine?

My eyes are watering.I'm so happy he's happy. The way you described him running from one thing to the next means he's so relieved he's home where he belongs. He must of been so worried he'd never see his real home again.Cats are so wonderful and just like people with REAL human like feelings only they can't speak to us and can't understand us when we tell them they'll be OK.

Thank You Kim for this wonderful siggy

Brodie is doing great and seems to be very happy to be home. He just ate a *little* bit of his new food. The vet is going ahead with the D/D.

We are all still a little curious as to what is causing his vomiting. She thinks that he's getting into something here in the house and yes, it probably was the litter that he was eating - was causing these recent problems - she still thinks that he's had an allergy to his food all along and that just made things worse.

We're going to try this new food though - Vet's Diet D/D . . . the flavor of the day? Duck and Peas! (yuck) I'm hoping that it will make some difference. Plus getting that litter out of the house and keeping an eye on him, making sure he's not eating too much crap off the floor. I try to sweep the floor on a regular basis . . . I guess I'll try to step it up a notch. Maybe double duty.

BTW, how long is it going to take for Josie to get use to him again??? She's been hissy ALL DAY!!! Looks like she'd recognize him a little?!?! How long am I gonna have to listen to her be like this?

It shouldn't take long at all for Josie to get use to Brodie all over again.I'd say a couple days.I'm glad he's feeling better

Yipee!!! Welcome home, Brodie!!! I'm sure now that he's home and feeling better he'll get himself cleaned up real quick.

So, final diagnosis was that it was the litter he was eating?

Well kinda. We're thinking that he was already having the food allergy and then he started eating the litter and that's when his little body just started spiraling out of control!

BTW, Josie & Brodie are actually laying on the same bed together now! Progress!

I am so glad to read that you are back home now, Brodie!
Now be a good boy - eat your new food, and lay off the inedible stuff, ok?

Yay! Brodie's finally home!! He must feel so much better! And, there's nothing like running around, finding all your old things, comfy things that mean HOME!

The stinky stuff will go away, lots of wipes and licking.

Fingers crossed that the new food will sort out the problems without any further treatment. Poor baby.

Morning everyone! We're making some progress with the Josie/Brodie re-introductions, LOL. Last night, Josie was actually licking on him again! Licking his little face . . . she kept sniffing inbetween licks though, like she was doing it even though she really didn't like it! But then she was hissing at him again this morning. Not sure . . . maybe she's still getting a wiff off of him. Maybe he's just annoying her. Nonetheless, she's tolerating him again and hopefully they'll be playing again soon.

He has been cuddling like CRAZY this morning!!! Has laid in my lap all morning! Curled up in a ball, snoozing away! I hated to get up for an hour! Good reason to sit and drink my coffee & watch some boring morning talk shows. Anyway, I think he's really going to get some rest today. Yesterday, he just seemed nervous. It was like he was afriad to lay down for a minute. I kept thinking, surely he is worn out from being at the vet's office for 5 days! I'm hoping he will catch up on his sleep now that he's used to being back home!

They're still not very happy with their food. Usually when I put it out in their bowls, they immediatley eat - especially in the mornings. They just look at this food and walk away. LOL It does stink pretty bad. They ARE eating it eventually, just not wolfing it down. They had eaten it all last night that I had put out and guess what?!?! NO PUKE when I got up this morning!
