Oh my.....I don't visit the boards for awhile and PT members starting jumping ship?!? I better stick around then, who knows if I would have stayed away for a month!

Would someone be kind enough to PM me some info on all I missed? Thank ya!

Ok, I have been freezing my Canadian fanny off and I am officially sick of Canadian winters. Why couldn't I have been born in Fiji?

Here's an excerpt from our Toronto paper:

    ........................

Our cold weather alert has been extended through Sunday, as lows of –20 are predicted for at least one more day. And our wind chill warning is still going strong, too.

As we try to stay warm, our power grid groans in distress. The cold snap is putting a serious strain on hydro operators. Right now, Ontario is bringing in power from Michigan and New York to handle the demands. The province endured record-high use of the juice for the second day in a row on Thursday because shivering people were dialing their thermostats up.

On Sunday it will be a little bit warmer, with highs of –10 and lows of –12, but on Monday the lows dip back down to –18 and on Tuesday they’ll stand at –20.

If that's not bad enough, there could be more snow on the weekend. And it could be mixed with freezing rain.

    .................

Oh joy, we will have a high of -10C on Sunday! We have set a historical record on energy use last night in Toronto and our power went out twice over the last week. I don't want anymore winter!!!

Richard, give me the strongest drink you have! I need to melt 100 layers of week old ice.

Slick, can I move in with you every winter? I'll promise to bring Nakita. And what's this I hear about you going to California?! I want to come too!!! All you west coasters always have all the fun.....and the rest of us east coasters just sit here and freeze.

Yes I'm whining, but maybe after a few drinks I'll forget about all this cold....

Don't be afraid that your life will end. Be afraid that it will never begin.

Wow Kass, of course I know how -20 feels but this year up to now we didn't have more than -10. You won't be able to take pictures with the digital camera as it will be to slow.

I just emailed this to some east coast friends of ours that were also complaining about the cold out there. Us "Midwesterners" can handle it - no problem The bartender might want to take note of the -100 line.

Of course you can move in I'll warn you though, I'm not sure how Max will welcome Nakita.....

The weather here is great now - I've even brought my shorts out of hibernation.....

I'm headin' on down to the Land of the Easily Amused in July for the the BBQ at Gini's. I'm sure she would welcome you too!!!

Nice to have you back at Dick's Place. Stick around a while and put your feet up.

Wow, you guys have had a great Thursday. I've been at our annual convention since 7:30 on Wednesday morning. Worked 18 hours that day; 14 hours on Thursday and 5 today. I am beat. I've already had one nap and plan to take several more this weekend.

Could I get a DoD? Make that several. I definitely could use them.

I am freezing! What do you have that's hot? I'll take a double. Last night was the first night that I really got cold here. I was out today and that wind was vicious!

I did the right thing by setting you free
But the pain is very deep.
If only I could turn back time, forever, you I'd keep.
    I miss you

I hear you whimper in your sleep
I gently pet you and say, no bad dreams
It will be alright, to my dog as dark as night.

Paws of love that follow me.
In my heart you'll forever be.

How I wish I could hold you near.
Turn back time to make it so.
Hug you close and never let go.

hey everyone! I'm back. Just woke up from a long and awkward nap. Can I have something that soothes the stomach? I had a little too much to drink earlier and feel a little bloated.

I think I need a nap too, but I will wait until about 3 in the morning before I even think about going to bed.

So on that note, I would like a Hot Buttered Rum, just sounds so good right now, and I do love the taste of Rum.

Anybody ever made a Rum cake?? I love them!

Thank You, kittycats_delight for my new siggy!!!
