My dear friend, I guess that the reality of what has happened has hit you now. I'm so grateful to your vet that it was able to happen in your home, where Speckles was most comfortable. When we let Murphy go on Dec. 7, the hardest part was walking out of that room where she was lying. Too much finality for us.

Please know that our love and friendship are leaping across the miles towards you and Max.

I am so sorry for your loss. I can't add to what everyone else has said, and I know nothing will ease your pain, but hopefully, knowing one more person in praying for you will be some sort of comfort.
