You are right about that Dixie. Graham has charisma. This dog can turn on the charm and make one instantly feel that you matter to him ...that you are special to him. In addition to being absolutely beautiful he is well mannered and polite. He really is epitome of what a therapy dog should be.

Is surgery still scheduled for this Friday? Our fella is on our minds constantly. It will be good to get this behind us and the boy on his way to healing.

Love and kisses from Hannah, Tucker and Rachel.

Thanks for the concerns. We are counting down the days. I keep telling Graham that he has to be brave and hang in there....this surgery, according to what the orthopedic surgeon says, is quite complecated and lengthy. I suspect he will be depressed and in alot of pain when it is all over with.

Surgery is still planned for this Friday. I drop him off before work, and I am taking almost 2 weeks off work to help him through this. I did check to see if other vets do the surgery and found the other emergency vet specialist in the area actually seems to be about the same in price, if not more. None of the regular vets do the surgery, only the specialists seem to be doing it.

As long as Graham has that splint and cast on, he is in little pain...but when that splint and cast comes off....WATCH OUT!!! Without the support of it he screams his poor head off I am going to insist that he is anesthitised for any further bandage changes, at least until I know that he's not in so much pain.

Thanks again for your concerns. I am real worried, but both Dan, Graham and I will get through this. I will let you know how his surgery goes. I won't have him back with me until at least Saturday...probablly Sunday. I know I can count on all of you to help me get through this with your kind words and prayers It's already been easier then it would have been without all of your support

Leslie we will definitely be thinking of you and Graham on Friday! What a wonderful mom you are to be taking two weeks off to help Graham. I know you feel so lucky to have found Graham, but Graham was also very blessed to have found you. Take care, both of you. We'll be praying for a complete recovery for your precious Graham.

Leslie - I don't know how I missed the postings on the update of your precious Graham's condition. I want you to know that I will be thinking of all of you and praying that Graham will go through his surgery like the champ that he is. I just feel so awful that this had to happen to him in the first place by no fault of your own or Graham's. Leslie please consider the help that everyone has offered in regard to the bills -I'm sure among all of us we could sure take the edge off that terrible fee for you and I know I'd be more than happy to send some bucks to your vet to help with this. I respect your feelings and you are such a wonderful, caring person. The love you have for that wonderful dog is awesome. Anyway prayers be with you all. I'll be posting in after Thanksgiving to see how everything went. God Bless your family!!!!

    Leslie:
We will be thinking of you and sweet Graham on Friday and praying all goes well. He'll be so happy to have you all day for himself that he'll recover very quickly. Could you ask the surgeon to give him something for the pain, at least for the first couple of days? I'm not in favor of too many pills for pups, but perhaps this is one instance when I would change my mind. Love to you both.
