Don't know for sure, but I have heard Jack Sprague did one like that.

    Thanks, I'll check it out.

The guy that sang the National Anthem on Friday was really good.

Fox sports gave me the end of a baseball game and a shortened version of the prerace show!

I am not saying anything else about KB......

Mike Helton announces the addition of one more team to the starting lineups of every race for the remainder of 2008

That team will always start at the back of the field, will attend to every crash and also check any drivers for DWI offenses. The driver of the PD team car has not been named.

What irritated me about the race broadcast was that Fox jumped from the game to the race with )@!#($*&!@)(& ONE strike left in the game........but still managed to miss the green flag for the race.

I finally had to jump in. Fox really ticked me off. Bart, Chessie, my wife and I where ready too watch the race when it was rudely interrupted with a baseball game. IF I WANTED TO WATCH GRASS GROW I WOULD HAVE TUNED TO A BALL GAME.
We missed the opening and the start, what was FOX thinking.
Yes we have two cats that like racing. Although Chessie does prefer GTP cars.

I couldn't really see all of what was going on, as we were at my SIL's for my nephew's birthday. I had got the TV over to Fox, and I saw that they were showing baseball, with a scroll that Nascar coverage would continue when the race started, but I couldn't hear anything. So I happen to glance up, as the switch was bring made and my comment was: "Holy Crap they missed the drop of the green flag!"

Not being a baseball fan, I would have preferred the Pre-race, but I can understand Yankess are big market. Still... for your regularly scheduled event, get there for the beginning!!!

Yes, another upset NASCAR fan here I agree with Cat Daddy "IF I WANTED TO WATCH GRASS GROW I WOULD HAVE TUNED TO A BALL GAME"
For Real! Sorry, just can't stand baseball. One of the most boring sports on earth.

And I can't believe that no one is super happy about Jimmie winning his first race this year...Go JJ...great burnout

I heard a great story today about Dale Sr.

One of the sports channels did an interview with a gal who wrote a book about NASCAR and the growth of motor racing in the U.S.

The host asked her about "one good DE Sr. story".

She laughed and said the Senior was taught how to "drive" by his grandmother- She lived at the bottom of a gravel road and explained to him how to keep control of the car when if got out of sorts.

I was laughing- I could picture Sr. hanging on to the dash board while granny is whipping around the back end with a brody knob.

    --------

The only thing I don't like about baseball is the time it takes the Zamboni to resurface the ice and the free throws.

If I had read that BEFORE I came through Piqua today, I would have stopped and smacked some sense back into you!

I got to go to the Tony Stewart Racing Store today!!! Unfortauntely, no cameras allowed, but he does have quite a trophy display case there, including the HUGE bear trophy from Texas 2006. Very cool!! I want one!

Can you believe, a whole store that sells nthing but things that say 20...and i only spent $30!!!

According to Boris Said, they made an agreement if they ever won the same weekend they would both shave their heads. Boris is just taking the green flag in Mexico City. Go Boris!!!
