You don't have to be facetious or condescending to give your point. THAT is what is boring. FACTS are not boring. personal jabs and junk like "well this is what you were implying" ARE boring in a debate. Debate the facts... not the person. You say you believe it should be based on facts but you were not giving any... you were just being condescending in criticizing what someone was saying without giving your own facts.
Although.... if my step grandfather was jewish... I wouldn't bring that out in a political statement because it has absolutely no bearing on anything. It seemed to have no purpose other than to get the Jewish community to think she understands their lifestyle. IMO, just having a step granfather for a short period of time does not give her any insight into the jewish community. Perhaps if she had said that she had studied his religion closely and followed his lifestyle closely, then perhaps it could have some credibility to it but just to know someone who was jewish does not give you a deeper understanding.So it may seem that they would know better.... but As stated before... we are a gullible society.
