These are indeed heroes, we must remember what these people did for us! I still see the Challenger explode on my tv-screen: it was the first time that a woman joined the crew (wasn't it a "Krista"??), and when few years ago the Columbia didn't make in re-entering the atmosphere, I was heartbroken![]()
RIP to these heroes!!
She was chosen to represent teachers and was scheduled to give some lessons and try some experiments that would be sent, via television, to schools all across the nation.
Nasa was trying to get more kids to become interested in the space program at that time.
