You need to be persistent. It took me MONTHS to get my tiels to even think of trying veggies when I first introduced it to them, but now veggies are part of their daily diet. Is she eating pellets, or is she just on her seed mix right now? Its very important to get her to start eating pellets, as well as fresh veggies, along with her seeds. Very important for her body. Birds need variety in their diet.
My technique in getting my birds to eat viggies was starting by locking them out of the cage, and giving them veggies in a plate, on top of their cage. I would hold the veggies, put it close to my mouth and 'pretend' to eat it...say 'Mmmmm' and act like I was REALLY enjoying it, and then offered it to them. It really got them interested!!! Give her veggies every single day. Be persistent. She's young...I just know she'll start accepting them, and enjoying them in no time.
With the pellets, I started by mixing it in their seeds, and slowly reduced the amount of seeds until it was just pellets. It was a 1-2 week process. Once they were just on pellets, and I could see they were eating it, I left pellets in their big bowl, and put seeds in their 2 smaller bowls. It works well that way. They eat both pellets and seeds everyday, as well as veggies and other foods, and enjoy all of them.
