It is definitely humanity that has created the bad rap for pit bulls.
My daughter played with neighbor pit bull dogs who would come to our yard to play when she was four. They were more gentle than our own golden retreiver with her. Now as an adult she has just adopted a beautiful little female pit named Nakia. My four year old grand daughter plays with her without fear as does their miniature datsun Rusty. Pits are Smart, loyal, gentle, beautiful, loving dogs that only want to please.
