Also if they don't allow you to continue trapping them, they'll have a totally out of control colony by Springtime! Then you can also bring up the fact that these cats have had no vaccinations, and Heaven forbid a rabid animal shows up and the colony is affected by this. Then it becomes a public safety/health issue. They should be thankful you are doing this, as it's a volunteer effort that needs to be done. Tell Mike to speak calmly with whoever, and rationalize with these people explaining the what ifs. If nobody steps up to the plate to help these cats, they'll get sickly etc. Busy body people GRRR!
