My sisters German Sheperd eats her own poo, the vet said she would eventually grow out of it, and she has, but not totally, she still does it once in a while. Also my Border Collie when i was growing up ate only her poo when it was frozen, we called it poopsicles.
Sorry i have no answers for you, but i guess it is normal for some dogs.
