Hi Friends,
Sorry that I haven't posted. I'm on the final push now to move house and w/the holidays and the first head cold I've had in nearly 30 years, I haven't had much free time.
Good news re Fraidy Cat and Star Kitty! A friend of mine took them in, so they're together in a good, loving, permanent home. It's so cold here; 1 degree this morning but they're safe and warm now.
I've also managed to place 2 more of the other litter, well, one actually, because I took one. But my friend may decide to take yet another one. I don't want to pressure him; he offered, albeit reluctantly. If I can't find a home for Tigger by the time I have to move into my new place, he'll take her.
The other cats will probably be barn cats at a nearby farm. The owners told me that, if I can't place them, to check out their barn, etc. and see if it meets my needs. I would provide them w/food and they give their other barn cats cow's milk every morning. And they would have a warm place to live. I don't really want to do it but I've been trying for months to place these babies and have had only minimal success. And I can't just leave them here without shelter or food and my landlord might have them rounded up and euthanized. I can't take that chance and, even if he didn't do that, I can't leave these babies. So a barn life is better than no life. They would surely freeze or starve to death otherwise.
Thank you for your kind words of encouragement and I'll keep you posted as things progress, although it may not be until I get into my new home.
Blessings and happy holidays,
M
