Staci, my daughter had read about ragdolls in Cat Fancy and absolutely had to have one. She researched them on the web and even asked the vet about the breed. She finally bought Gabe almost 4 years ago. He is just beautiful but I am afraid he doesn't fit the mold of a typical ragdoll. He is just not friendly at all to say the least. He has only bonded with her and her husband and now they are afraid of how he will take to my little grandson when he begins to crawl. (Biting is not uncommon for him, if he doesn't know you. )I guess when it comes right down to it there is no guarantee that a specific breed may live up to its expectations. Then again maybe Gabe is the exception to the rule. My two kitties are "mutts," cost me nothing, and are friendly, loving little guys. Go figure!

Here's Gabe. He even looks like he has an attitude!
