Beware, Missy, you may have just created a monster. My mom did this same exact thing - thought it was soooo cute - and now she can't go to the bathroom without turning on the tub faucet for the cat. Most times he's not ready to go when she is, so she leaves the water running for him, only to come back hours later to find the water still running and the cat fast asleep on the couch.
