Reminds me of Arrow - my RBGuard Dawg!
He was an INside / Outside Dawg - but MUCH preferred his
fancy, well insulated, Dawggie Howze to the too-stuffie
2-Legger hangout.
As his first winter neared, I thought he'd appreciate a
soft "nest" in his Howze.
WRONG!
First we tried "fresh horse hay" ...
It was tossed out before I got upstairs and looked out the window.
How bout a nice thick RUG?
NOPE! Took him all night; but it was *out* by morning.
Maybe STRAW?
Thanks, but NO! Out as fast as the fresh hay!
Possibly a nice Blanket?
He PLAYED with that - out in his "yard".
Shreded to bits in a day or two.
An old Dad's COAT?
Another chew toy...
A plain ole SHEET?
Just made smaller bits & pieces in the yard.
He's GOTTA have SUMPIN to keep warm / sleep on!
Another rug... *NAILED* down on the floor!
As I left to go in - Arrow was *digging* at it.
And where was Arrow come morning?
SOUND Asleep - ON the ROOF of his Howze!
Rain, sleet, snow - he didn't step foot on that rug for a week!
You WIN!
Took a LOT longer to UN-nail the rug than it took to nail it down;
and I left it in the howze to see if he'd warm up to the pattern...
Yup - Rug OUT, Dawg IN come morning!
We Gave Up - he seemed to *like* his HardWood floor!
Rest In Peace, Lil Buddy ~
Dad sure *misses* ya!

Guard Dawg!
