    Pet facts~

Well, I have NEVER posted here in pet General so I thought I would finally start a new thread here. Honestly I don't know much about Birds, Bunnys, horses, lizards, or anything about pets other than dogs and cats So I was wondering if you all could post facts you know about them. Or maybe even websites

And I will try to come here more.

    * It is nearly impossible for rats and rabbits to carry rabies and trasmit rabies to humans

    * The tail helps regulate the body temperature of rats

    * Rats can go without water longer than camels

I don't know a lot of facts, but if you go on to google.com and type in rabbit, or whatever animal you want to know facts about, it should give you a description on an animal, and maybe you could learn a thing or two.

Melano black female bettas are infertile.

Calicos[cats] are 99% of the time females.

That's about all I can remember right now.

*Dogs sweat through the pads of their paws
*Dogs pant to cool themselves off

I'll try to think of more...

-Guinea pigs are not pigs at all and they are not from New Guinea either.
    -Some cats are lactose intolerant.
I also have a question: Some of you brought up that rabbits, rats and horses can't throw up.
    What about guinea pigs?
I've never seen any information on that.
