Tiny dachshund Rusty has proved size does not matter, by fathering a pup by a giant rottweiler bitch.
The unlikely pair have produced Tinky, which her owner Dale Adams describes as a miniature stretched version of her mother.
Mr Adams, of Gunthorpe, near Peterborough, in Cambridgeshire, said he was baffled how one-stone Rusty had managed to seduce his canine concubine Cassey.
He said: "He either used my stepladder or he did it while she was asleep.
"To be honest, I don't think he cares too much - he's got his evil way and he's quite happy with that."
Mr Adams said he was surprised when the puppy turned out to be Rusty's.
He said he had not had the rottweiler spayed because he thought she would just look down on Rusty.
Rusty had always had an eye for Cassey, he added, but he never thought she would be interested.
Dog experts say the pairing is likely to be unique
