Sitting through 5 dismally losing seasons of High School football (5-year high school, and I was in marching band) ruined football for me. Just makes me roll my eyes and walk away. And yet our hometown LOVED football, supported the team, agve them extra money for uniforma, etc. Our track team, and our soccer team, both of which did well and made playoffs, no one cared about.
