Is pumpkin something that would help a diarrhea problem? I thought it helped the opposite?? I know that it is suggested to give it to dogs when they have anal gland problems. My dogs get a little bit in their meal about once a week.

I don't think pumpkin pie filling is the right thing to use, either (is that what you said you were using?). Pure pumpkin is what is usually prescribed. The pie filling type would have lots of sugar and other additives.
