    I got this email today in case you guys were wondering

    Jodie,

    We're sorry you saw what some misguided, sick person thought was funny.

    The cat was deleted and the user banned at 7:19 EDT on November 11th.

    There are a lot of sick people out there, but rest assured that
    particular
    user is no longer part of Catster.

    Thanks for the update. I'm glad they had the courtesy to respond. I only wish they monitored the postings more closely.
