Hi Everyone! Thank you for the wonderful comments about my big spolied dog Spencer! You are all so kind. My dog is so lucky to have us as his family. He is so gentle with my little grandchildren and just adores children. He is still very overprotective when strangers come over, but when I tell him it's okay, he wags his tail and accepts them immediately. He is on guard at night (which is common for American Bulldogs) and doesn't like noises though....hehe.....he just lays there and growls. The city of Akron, Ohio have strict laws for agressive dogs though and he is not premitted to run in this city, so we have to take him somewhere else to get his exercise. He has to be registered as an aggressive dog and is to be muzzled at all times when outdoors, but I am telling you all, American Bulldogs are loving dogs and my dog would never hurt anyone. These dogs have been mislabled as aggresive dogs by this city. Yes, he is a gentle giant.
