She is so sweet, and I know she will be just fine, but I hate that she had to go through this unnecessarily. But who could know? Some friends of mine had both of their dogs disappear one day and ended up finding them at the pound. One of them had been adopted from the pound and spayed at that time, but with no sort of identification in the form of a microchip or tattoo, they had no way to know that she had already been spayed and they tried to do it again!(I do not condone the way that my "friends" handle their dogs and cats, by the way.....they should have never been in the pound's hands long enough for that to even happen)
This speaks volumes as to why tattooing or microchipping can and will work! Unfortunately, funding is the problem.
