Our Briggs is still a youngster at 5 but I had to add a comment. Briggs is not terribly sociable, runs and hides whenever anyone comes over. She plays favorites and will come out for one or two specially annointed friends. Now, having said this, I had a gathering of female friends two years ago and guess who decided to be the party girl??!!! None of us could believe it when Miss Briggs sauntered in midst all the revelers, took her seat and stayed with us for most of the celebration.![]()

We all felt quite honored by the princess's presence. Hasn't happened since that one time - she's back to hiding under the bed every time someone rings the doorbell.
