Maybe Zoe misses trees.
You should plant a large tree in your living room, then Zoe could drag all the pillows in the house up onto the branches, where she could rest comfortably. Perhaps, being so comfortable, she would learn to share her pillowed branches with other cats.
Just think, how wonderful it would be to be sitting on your couch, watching "Desperate Housewives" and to be able to glance up now and then and see cats resting on pillows up in a tree in your own living room.
If your ceiling is too low to accomodate a large tree, why, cut a hole in it!
Zoe will appreciate it. Perhaps some birds will work their way down through the branches into your living room, along with a squirrel or two and a few centipedes as well.
Yours will be an interesting living room.
Cats will love it.
