Actually Kurby's been a feral in the park since he was a kitten. He was just becoming a little more friendly than most of the others. His behavior was partly due to pain and fear I'm sure, but he also is feral. We will not put him back in the park due to nature of his surgery. If we find someone that will give Kurby a very good indoor home, be patient enough until he's tame, then we would consider adopting him out. Until then he'll be with us!
Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR) is a full management plan in which stray and feral cats already living outdoors in cities, towns, and rural areas are humanely trapped, then evaluated, vaccinated, and sterilized by veterinarians. Kittens and tame cats are adopted into good homes. Healthy adult cats too wild to be adopted are returned to their familiar habitat under the lifelong care of volunteers
