Jack russels can be a bit stubborn at times, but generally are fairly easy to house train. (I love JRT's)
Are you taking her out often enough? Being a smaller breed & to be on the safe side I would not let her go no more than about 6 hours. The smaller the breed, the smaller the insides, therefore they can't hold it quite as long as a larger breed)
BUT for now, I would take her out even more often. I suggest starting over like she is a puppy.
ALWAYS go outside with her, give her a command to potty, use the same command everytime (I use "go potty")
When you see her go potty outside praise praise praise!!!!
Bring her out FIRST thing in the morning, approx. 20 minutes or so after all feedings & drinks, and generally every hour or so and immedietly before going to bed or to work.
If you HAVE to be away, it would be best to feed her at least an hour before you leave and to be on the safe side a few hours before bed time.
The last thing you should do before leaving the house or going to bed is let her out to potty.
If you are gone for more than 4-6 hours at a time maybe hire a dog sitter to visit in the afternoon or if you are at work, is it possible to stop by to let her out on your lunch break?
To get her to stop eating her feces, they do sell a few products for that, that work okay but you have to mix it in w/ their food and make sure they eat the feces from that. It makes the feces taste awful.
As for the muzzle, it might work, but I would be afraid she would still try to eat it with that on and make a mess everywhere.
Maybe consult w/ a trainer?
Good luck!
