I have to admit I am sorry to hear that, but at least it won't turn into the fracas 2000 became.

I honestly don't see where he does that, but I'm not saying you're wrong. I guess I just see things differently.

I agree that we need to wrap ourselves around tolerance of religion - all religion. Right now, in my area, every other religion BUT Christianity is embraced while those of us who cross ourselves in prayer at school or wear a crucifix and are asked to cover it up, are the ones who are targeted and our rights are being trampled on.

And I'm done on this point!

Yes, but the provisional ballots in Ohio won't be counted for 10 days. So Kerry can concede until the cows come home, but if those provisional ballots are counted and give him the upper hand, we've got a problem bigger than 2000 on our hands!

It was a good conversation - it was nice being able to debate without it turning into a nasty conversation.

All I've got to say is - and I'm going to use one of Bush's favorite sayings here

"May God bless America." Because we're going to need it.....

And for all of you who are headed for Canada, instead of turning tail and running, stay here and fight for what you believe in. Like someone mentioned way back on page 4 or 5 of this thread, the President is only a figurehead. He can't do anything without the support of Congress and the House of Representatives. If you believe your rights are being suppressed, call your Senator and complain. Make sure your representatives know how you feel and if they don't vote the way you want to, then vote them out in their next election! Just because somebody has been "in" for many years doesn't mean anything. Look at Tom Daschle (sp?). He's the House minority speaker and he has now been voted out. Stand up for the rights you believe are being suppressed. Let your voice be heard. That is what America is all about!

The only way I can console myself is by using my old standby quote that "Everything always turns out for the best, even if you can't see it at the time." I have to believe that this time will not be the exception....I hope.

I'm going to do my best to believe that too, but I am still going to batten down the hatches just in case.

Tubby & Peanut's Mom, I'm with you there!!

BTW, Freedom of religion - Doesn't that mean that you have the freedom to choose your religion and to NOT have the Christian religion forced upon you?

a woman said once before she read in the bible Bush would win again because the bible has said "His destruction is not yet complete.". I'm sorry to my fellow Kerry supporters, I'm so so sorry. I was sitting here crying as well as many of you were too I'm sure. We'll survive this somehow and if the time comes we truely believe we wont, just make sure youve asked God for forgiveness for anything you regret doing in your life, and live your life now as if tomorrow wont come because with him in office again tomorrow really might not come.
