I think he is definately worth the time/effort. It may surprise you how well he could adjust to being domestic once he has time/love on his side for once. How pitiful for him to have to be feral with noone to care for him outdoors

Actually we've been caring for him at the park by providing food, water and had him fixed. If you notice his left ear you'll see that it is "tipped". In other words the tip has been cut off so we know he was neutered. You do this when you work with a large colony of ferals in order to keep track who has been fixed and who hasn't. Since our colony has totalled over 100 this has really been beneficial!
Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR) is a full management plan in which stray and feral cats already living outdoors in cities, towns, and rural areas are humanely trapped, then evaluated, vaccinated, and sterilized by veterinarians. Kittens and tame cats are adopted into good homes. Healthy adult cats too wild to be adopted are returned to their familiar habitat under the lifelong care of volunteers
