Carrie, I agree that a dog cannot make the leap of
logic needed to connect the 'act' with 'consequences'
for them.. but I think your advice of not giving a dog
your immediate attention upon entering the house
to be a great piece of advise ... I've been doing this
as you suggested and find it can set the 'tone' for
the rest of the evening in our interactions with each
